Harissa-Marinated Grilled Steak (Keto-Friendly)

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs (680g) ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak
  • 2–3 tbsp harissa paste (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (parsley or cilantro)

Directions:

  1. Marinate the Steak:
    • In a bowl, mix harissa paste, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and pepper.
    • Rub the mixture all over the steak.
    • Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours in the fridge.
  2. Cook the Steak:
    • Heat a grill or cast-iron skillet over high heat.
    • Sear the steak for 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness and desired doneness).
    • Rest the steak for 5–10 minutes after cooking.
  3. Serve:
    • Slice against the grain and garnish with fresh herbs.
    • Serve with keto-friendly sides like roasted cauliflower, grilled zucchini, or a simple arugula salad.
